Monomonster - Textures

Textures is the debut EP of Ukraine-born producer and DJ, real name Volodymyr Alekseiev. Volodymyr is well-known as a multi-faceted electronic musician and sound producer. He has made a name for himself while being a part of such musical projects as Aesthete iz Dead, Prince Albert, and Kultura Zvuka, a Ukrainian creative formation.

This EP reveals his music’s strong emotional core and delves into the nostalgic resonances of formative musical experiences. A somewhat melancholic and atmospheric piece of work, it still has that signature of Monomonster's sound: complex, deep and pure.

“When I was writing the tracks, I caught myself thinking that I was working not with the melodic and rhythmic components of the track, but with layers of textures, that’s where the name of the EP comes from” he tells. “For me, each track is a certain mood or state of mind I’m immersed into while working in the studio”.
